Cheeseburger and French Fries
Today we learned how to make fresh French fries on the barbecue instead of deep fried.
We started with potatoes, yes actual potatoes not frozen French fries. We, of course, peeled and cut the potatoes into fries. The potatoes got a quick rinse to remove excess starch before coating them in olive oil and a seasoned salt blend. Next, it was off to the vegetable basket and waiting for the hot BBQ.
The fries went up on the shelf, away from the fire, to slow cook.
Don’t forget to melt the cheese! We used provolone this time, it was nice and mellow.
